Course Information
Lake Boat Practical, a one- to two-day hands-on boating skills course conducted on open water. This course builds safe and confident operation of lake-based watercraft through practical exercises and scenario-based learning. Participants will learn: - Boat safety procedures and equipment checks - Maintenance of vessel and onboard gear - Float plan preparation and communication - Boat handling and emergency maneuvering - Man-overboard response drills - Weather awareness and lake-based hazards - Vessel limitations and safe operating practices - Loading, unloading, and balance considerations - Fuel management and consumption planning

Cancellation Policy
Rescheduling (More Than 72 Hours’ Notice) If you need to reschedule more than 72 hours before your course, your payment will be credited toward another available course date. Cancellations or Rescheduling Within 72 Hours Changes made within 72 hours of the course start time will result in your payment being non-refundable, unless the cancellation is due to extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical emergencies). Approval is at our discretion. No-Shows Failure to attend without notice will result in your payment being non-refundable. Instructor Cancellations If Northern Contingency must cancel a course, you may choose a full refund or transfer your payment to a future date.
