Course Information

Predator Defense Training, a two-day course consisting of one classroom day and one live-training range day. This course prepares participants to recognize, deter, and respond to wildlife threats using both non-lethal and lethal measures when necessary. Training covers: - Predator identification, behavior, and risk assessment - Large ungulate awareness and avoidance - Use of non-lethal deterrents including: - Bear spray - Bear bangers - Rubber bullets - Bear fencing - Early warning systems - Lethal firearm response based on perceived threat - Live fire practice at a traditional or improvised range - Care, maintenance, and deployment of deterrent systems

Cancellation Policy

Rescheduling (More Than 72 Hours’ Notice) If you need to reschedule more than 72 hours before your course, your payment will be credited toward another available course date. Cancellations or Rescheduling Within 72 Hours Changes made within 72 hours of the course start time will result in your payment being non-refundable, unless the cancellation is due to extenuating circumstances (e.g. medical emergencies). Approval is at our discretion. No-Shows Failure to attend without notice will result in your payment being non-refundable. Instructor Cancellations If Northern Contingency must cancel a course, you may choose a full refund or transfer your payment to a future date.
